Tasting notes
Appears as a bright ruby-red colour. On the nose its intense and complex, with aromas of wild forest fruits and hints of spice. On the palate this wine is long, elegant and well balanced. The sharp acidity integrates nicely, accompanied by gentle tannins. Can be enjoyed now but also has great potential to be kept in the bottle for several years due to its good balance and structure.

Founded in 1932, located in the historic Barrio de la Estacion, in Haro, Rioja Alta, and is one of Spain’s most renowned family-owned wineries. With a commitment to both tradition and quality, the winery combines both aging in handcrafted oak barrels and fining to remove the suspended particles that appear in the wine – with innovative practices and sustainable processes. Muga is also the only cellar in Spain with a master cooper and three in-house-barrel-makers. Expanding over 200 hectares, Muga consistently produces wines that reflect elegance, depth, and the classic terroir of Rioja.
