When only the best will do. Bernhard Ott is arguably the very best producer of this variety. Located in the region of Wagram in Austria, Bernhard Ott continues to showcase Grüner Veltliner of the highest order. FASS 4 is an excellent example of Grüner Veltliner with finesse and elegance. Named after the special barrel hand selected every year, the grapes are harvested from the lower Wagram, resulting in a delightful aromatic wine, with aromas of citrus fruit, nectarine and basil that develop into a long finish. Incredibly moreish.

One of Austria’s most innovative producers of this variety, the Ott family have been growing and producing wine in the region of Wagram since 1889, with Bernhard, the fourth generation, managing the winery since 1993. Bernhard Ott says
of himself: ‘Ich bin ein Veltliner’ and is a household name in Austria, he is even called Mister Veltliner.

The 28 hectares of vineyards are farmed according to biodynamic principles, with Ott being a founding member of respekt-BIODYN (a group at the forefront of biodynamic viticulture in Austria).

Low intervention winemaking is at the heart of the estate, the result being the finest Grüner Veltliner in Austria.
