Château Caronne Ste-Gemme produces a classic, full-bodied Haut-Médoc with aromas of blackcurrant, ripe dark fruits, plum and subtle spice, often complemented by delicate notes of oak, tobacco and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is generous and well-balanced, combining ripe fruit with polished tannins, freshness and a persistent finish. With bottle age, it develops greater complexity and can reveal savoury, earthy and lightly smoky nuances.

More Information

Château Caronne Ste-Gemme is a distinguished Bordeaux estate situated in Saint-Laurent-Médoc, on the edge of the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation. With a winemaking history dating back to the 17th century, the estate has been in the Borie-Nony family since 1900 and today encompasses around 45 hectares of vineyards.

The vineyards lie on a distinctive gravel plateau, surrounded by wetlands and close to some of Saint-Julien’s renowned estates. These deep Garonne gravel soils provide excellent drainage and create the ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and Petit Verdot. The classic blend gives the wine its characteristic Médoc structure, depth and elegance.
