Two brilliant French wines from Languedoc. Sauvignon blanc & merlot: high quality, modern style wines.
We have been working with Daniel Orsolini at SO Vignerons for many years, he makes many really great expressive Languedoc wines offering great value and quality. The Terres Cortal Sauvignon is ever popular and a very credible alternative to Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. The Languedoc is a vast area from Carcassonne here in the northern part, to the Mediterranean in the south. A lovely region in the South of France.
Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Terres Cortal, Languedoc, France
In our opinion France produces the very best Sauvignon Blanc. Grown in the far south, this has excellent concentration of fruit without the higher acidities that are often found in the wines from the New World. Light, fruity and slate dry; this is a crisp and elegant sauvignon.
Merlot 2019, Terres Cortal, Languedoc, France
A full flavoured, juicy, fruity wine with excellent varietal characteristics.
