A generous and expressive red wine, opening with inviting aromas of ripe blackcurrant, dark cherry and candied fruits, complemented by fragrant violet flowers and warming spice. The palate is beautifully concentrated yet fresh, with layers of juicy dark berries, blackcurrant and subtle green pepper notes. Château Coupe Roses “Les Plots” is a rich and expressive certified organic red wine crafted primarily from Syrah, balanced by Grenache and Carignan. Grown in the high-altitude, Atlantic-influenced foothills of the Montagne Noire within the Minervois appellation, the slow-ripening grapes are harvested from distinct, sun-drenched vineyard plots composed of unique clay, limestone, and schist soils.

Characterful, expressive and full of southern French charm, Château Coupe-Roses Les Plots is an organic red wine from the Minervois appellation in the Languedoc. Produced in the elevated vineyards of the Haut-Minervois, this distinctive wine combines generous Mediterranean fruit with freshness, spice and a beautifully rounded texture. The vineyards are situated on south and south-west-facing slopes between 200 and 350 metres above sea level. The varied soils include limestone, clay-limestone, deep clay and sandstone, contributing to the wine’s depth and individual character. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected before gentle vinification, designed to preserve the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir. Château Coupe Roses Les Plots brings together Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault, creating a wine with an appealing balance of ripe dark fruit, aromatic spice and freshness. On the nose, expect inviting aromas of blackcurrant, dark berries and candied fruit, accompanied by hints of violet, pepper and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is generous and supple, with a fleshy texture, lively freshness and a lingering savoury finish. A versatile and food-friendly red, Les Plots is an excellent match for grilled lamb, roast meats, charcuterie, Mediterranean vegetable dishes and hearty casseroles. It is a lovely example of modern Minervois, offering plenty of southern French character without sacrificing balance or drinkability.

Château Coupe-Roses is located in the village of La Caunette, in the Hérault department of the Minervois appellation, at the foothills of the Montagne Noire.

The estate’s vines are planted on a limestone-clay plateau between 250 and 400 metres above sea level, where the unique combination of altitude, soils and Mediterranean influence creates an exceptional environment for producing wines with a strong sense of place.
