More Information
Discover the character and elegance of the Domaine Bart Marsannay ‘Longeroies’ Pinot Noir. Produced in one of Burgundy’s most exciting village appellations, this expressive Marsannay Pinot Noir showcases the distinctive personality of its vineyard site, combining generous red and dark fruit with freshness, fine structure and understated complexity.
Situated at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits, Marsannay is increasingly recognised for producing Burgundy wines with excellent character and individuality. The Longeroies vineyard is particularly well regarded for its distinctive terroir. Its clay-influenced soils, with limestone beneath, help produce Pinot Noir with concentration, freshness and an appealingly firm structure.
Domaine Bart takes a careful, site-focused approach to winemaking, allowing the individual characteristics of its Marsannay vineyards to shine through. Longeroies is known for producing a particularly expressive style, with ripe red and black fruit, subtle earthy nuances and a more structured palate than some of the lighter, fruitier expressions of Pinot Noir.
In the glass, expect an inviting combination of cherry, raspberry and blackberry, complemented by delicate floral notes, gentle spice and hints of woodland undergrowth. The palate is generous yet refined, with vibrant fruit, fresh acidity and finely textured tannins bringing balance and length. Oak maturation adds subtle depth and complexity without overshadowing the purity of the Pinot Noir.
Domaine Bart Marsannay ‘Longeroies’ Pinot Noir is a wonderful Burgundy for those who appreciate elegance alongside genuine depth of flavour, this Burgundy Red Wine is an excellent companion to fine food and equally rewarding to enjoy on its own. It offers an opportunity to explore the character of the Côte de Nuits through a distinctive and increasingly sought-after vineyard expression.

Domaine Bart is a respected family-run Burgundy estate based in Marsannay-la-Côte, at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits. The domaine has its origins in the historic Domaine Clair-Daü, from which the Bart family established its own independent estate. Today, the family is recognised for producing individual and terroir-focused wines that demonstrate the quality and diversity of Marsannay and the surrounding Burgundy vineyards.
Under the direction of Pierre Bart, the domaine has developed a reputation for meticulous vineyard work and thoughtful winemaking. Its holdings extend across several important Burgundy appellations, including Marsannay and Fixin, as well as prestigious Grand Cru vineyards. Particular attention is given to expressing the differences between individual vineyard parcels rather than producing wines with an overly uniform house style.
The estate’s approach combines traditional Burgundian techniques with careful control of extraction and maturation. Pinot Noir is handled with particular care to preserve its delicate aromatic character, freshness and natural elegance. Oak ageing is used to provide structure and complexity while allowing the fruit and personality of each vineyard to remain at the forefront.
Marsannay ‘Longeroies’ is a fine illustration of this philosophy. Its distinctive clay-influenced terroir gives the wine an expressive fruit character and firmer structure, making it a particularly interesting example of the quality that can be found in this northern corner of the Côte de Nuits.
