Passotasso Toscana Rosso IGT is an inviting expression of Tuscan winemaking from Tenuta di Bibbiano, an estate in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. Made from Sangiovese and traditional local grape varieties, this expressive red celebrates the freshness and character of the estate’s vineyards.
The wine offers an appealing combination of ripe red-fruit flavours, savoury complexity and refreshing structure. Its fruit-led character is complemented by subtle earthy and spicy nuances, while lively acidity and firm but approachable tannins give the palate definition and balance.
A versatile and food-friendly Tuscan red, Passotasso is an excellent choice for relaxed suppers and generous Italian-inspired dishes. Enjoy it with pasta, pizza, grilled meats or a selection of mature cheeses for a taste of Tuscany at the table.

Tenuta di Bibbiano is a historic family-owned wine estate in Castellina in Chianti, Tuscany, with a long-standing connection to the region’s winemaking traditions. Its vineyards occupy the hills around the estate, where varied exposures and clay-limestone soils contribute to the character of its wines.
The estate focuses on expressing the identity of its Tuscan vineyards through native grape varieties, particularly Sangiovese. Alongside its Chianti Classico wines, Bibbiano produces Passotasso as a fresh, approachable interpretation of the area’s traditional red grapes.
Passotasso brings together Sangiovese and other local varieties, including Ciliegiolo, Malvasia Nera and Canaiolo in the estate’s published description. The grapes are fermented and matured in stainless steel, helping preserve the wine’s freshness and fruit character.
