More Information
Inspired and named after the local colour of the soil along with the tools used at the estate, El Ruden is Astoria’s tribute to the beautiful landscape and hills of the Veneto region. As is to be expected with such a producer, the level of detail in showcasing the region and their inspiration goes right down to the label.
Aged in oak for eight to nine months, El Ruden is a beautiful and unique combination of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Marzemino. Similar to that of Amarone, a small amount of grapes are dried, adding excellent depth, concentration and richness. Combined with the ageing process, this wine is another example of Astoria’s art of winemaking.

A unique and special wine that makes you want to come back for more.

Established in 1987 by Paolo & Giorgio Polegato, Astoria have become the leading maker of Prosecco in the famous regions of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene.
Located in the heart of the Veneto region at the picturesque Val de Brun estate, Astoria continue to lead the way in innovation as well as dedication to the environment since its foundation, becoming the first winery in the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene region to be awarded for their crop management systems.
Every year Astoria process approximately seven million kilograms of grapes, and we’re very proud to be working directly with the estate in supply wines of the highest quality.
